I think you just answered your own question. Change your diet back. Ive dealt with exam weeks too, and it is difficult to find the time to eat right, but do the best you can. Working out 4-5 times per week is plenty for fat loss as long as you are making them worthwhile workouts. Ab routines wont actually remove stomach fat, it will just strengthen the abdominal muscle tissue that is beneath the fat. Exercise in general helps change your metabolism so that you can burn fat more readily as a fuel source throughout the day, however, you cannot spot reduce (ex.. push ups wont remove arm and chest fat). So just eat right and workout correctly; also, if you dont weight train, I would try incorporating that into your workout. Weight training allows for increases in skeletal muscle density, which is the primary calorie burner in the body.

Ab workouts don’t burn any body fat.

The only way to burn body fat is cardio. You don’t get to choose were to lose it. It burns all over.

Also, your diet is important. Try fixing it again. You don’t want all your workouts to go to waste, don’t yea?

    Cheers :)
